CNC MACHINIST
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Performing complex part set-ups with high attention to detail.
  • Following the set procedures outlined in the shop environment.
  • Understanding cutting tools and cutter wear.
  • Understanding cutter tool paths.
  • Ability to trouble shoot problems and look for process improvements.
  • Ability to read part drawings and inspect parts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Work in a team environment to accomplish necessary tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and managers.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is mandatory.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Technical experience preferred.
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age to apply.

 Physical requirements:

  • Prolonged standing at a machine while operating the CNC controller.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to rotate work schedule between days/nights/weekend days/weekend nights
  • Must be able to work 12 hours shifts with work weeks alternating between 3 and 4 days.






HAND FINISHER

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Using pneumatic die grinders, remove any mismatch or rough finishes to meet tolerances.
  • Deburr all sharp edges using hand deburr tools and sand paper.
  • Clean and prepare parts for quality inspection.
  • Maintain all hand finish equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the hand finish department.
  • Maintaining inventory of hand finish supplies. (disks, cartridge rolls, sand paper, dust masks, etc.)
  • Work with QA, Shop Management, and Engineering to identify areas for improvement in the machining process.
  • When available, help with general tasks in the shop such as dumping chip bins, helping receive or ship parts, store raw material, build crates.

  • Work well with others in team-oriented environment and shared work spaces.
  • Able to identify safety concerns and adhere to safety standards.

Education/Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical Experience preferred
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age to apply

Physical Requirements: 

  • Moving or lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods operating power tools such as die grinders and other machinery.
  • Standing, sitting and short periods of working while kneeling or bent over.
